Now — Jump to this hour on the stream. Search — Pull down on Timeline; the field appears when you reach for it. Searches everything you've written, across every day, grouped by day.

Tap a typed entry to edit inline. Swipe to delete with a four-second undo. Share or email today as Markdown from the Timeline toolbar.

Voice — Record a thought. A transcript joins the stream when speech recognition can do it on-device.

Camera — A photo into today's pocket. It stays on this iPhone unless you share it.

Apple Intelligence on supported iPhones running iOS 26 or later — on-device, no key. On other devices, bring your own key (Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter), stored in Keychain. Capture bugs, features, and improvements with text, voice, or multiple photos. Swipe a task to mark it Completed. Edit any open item in a full-screen sheet.

Share or email the open inbox as Markdown with attachments. Copy the lot to Cursor or Claude Code from Settings. Share text, URLs, or images from other apps via the system Share sheet — with Dev on, shares land here; with Dev off, they land on today's Timeline.

Calm to start

You begin with writing, calendar, and a couple of light day signals. Everything that needs a permission prompt stays off until you turn it on.

Now Playing logs what's playing right now — no extra permission. Apple Music (recently played) is separate and needs Allow once. Bluetooth only logs devices whose names match your allowlist. Weather pulls today's conditions once a day, with Apple's attribution. Audio-route changes and calendar-start logs are always on — not toggles.

On this iPhone

No account — The journal stays on the device. Share or email a Markdown day when you want a copy elsewhere. Runs on iPhone and iPad.

App lock — Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode, and the pocket closes when the app goes to the background. Off unless you turn it on.

Day Pulse — A Home Screen widget for the latest Ask summary or last note, plus what's next. The medium size adds Summarise and What's next? buttons. Tap through to Ask.

Pin — One typed thought as a Live Activity on the Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, and StandBy. Typed entries only — not sketches, voice, or calendar rows.

Cream and Dark — The doodle wombat, the doodle icons, and the home-screen icon follow the theme you pick.

Shortcuts — On iOS 18 and later, eight App Shortcuts: Open Pocket Wombat · Open Thoughts · Add to timeline · What's on today · Open a day (yesterday/tomorrow) · Pin thought · Summarise today · What's next. Add to timeline, What's on today, and Pin thought run in the background. You invoke them with the app name — not a freeform Siri chat.

Notes — Optional Markdown rendering on the Timeline (bold, lists). The Write draft stays plain and editable. Hide individual calendars and reminder lists in Settings → Calendars & reminders.
